We hear about roid rage in reference to some
people's use of anabolic steroids for body building, athletic
performance and strength building. You don't have to be famous
to be involved with anabolic steroids. It's also filtered
down into high school and colleges. My friend won't even do
weight lifting anymore because he said that everyone uses
anabolics and it is not the same as it was twenty years ago.
It's natural to want to excel in sports or really in everything
that we do. This is why people also take speed that want to
be dynamos too. Remember that steroids were really used medicinally
for hormonal imbalances and problems.
We've read about Chris Benoit's tragedy of killing his family
and wife. He was a professional wrestler and was found to
have excessive amounts of testosterone in his body. This was
attributed to anabolic steroids. Also, even if rage isn't
a side effect, remember that paranoia and depression are common
ones. On top of that, it is an addictive drug so that if you
try to stop it you can get withdrawal symptoms just like you
can get for getting off of benzo drugs or opiates. This creates
a cycle where people get back on the drugs to avoid the withdrawal
symptoms.
Detox is an important process for those on anabolic steroids.
It is in the news every day it seems about baseball players,
cyclers, football players and female athletes as well. For
teenagers, it can effect one's height as well as
bone growth. Remember that teen boys are still growing. A
lot of high schools are not involved in testing for steroids
and teens want to compete, impress girls and may be under
pressure from older classmen to excel. This is something to
become more aware of and it is best to study nutritional supplements
that can aid one's stamina to stay safe.
