Muscle building for teenagers can be a positive influence
because it not only promotes a healthy lifestyle, but it can
extinguish any self-confidence issues, and perhaps any teasing,
name-calling (beanpole, twig, etc.) and bullying. Not to mention,
it also demands a lot of time, so you will not have to worry
that your teen is out on the streets getting into trouble.
Another benefit is, since muscle building for teens promotes
a healthy and nutritious lifestyle, you will not need to be
concerned with your teenager experimenting with drugs because
they will be much more cautious with what they put into their
bodies, so as not to hinder their bodybuilding results.
That being said, the first thing that should be stated is:
AVOID STEROIDS. This should be a no brain, but it still needs
to be said. You do not need steroids to build muscle. Your
body has enough natural hormones, much more than any steroid
could replace.
If you are interested in partaking in natural supplementation,
all you really need is a good, high-quality multivitamin,
high-quality protein powder, and omega-3 fish oil. These supplements
are all you really need for the first few years of weight
training.
Next, you need to focus on nutrition:
Carbohydrates: whole wheat breads, oatmeal, brown rice, potatoes,
fruits and veggies.
Protein: tuna, chicken, fish, cottage cheese and protein
shakes.
Then you can balance out your meals with fats such as: olive
oil. Fish oil, natural peanut butter and nuts. Instilling
these clean and good eating habits now, they will no doubt
stay with you throughout your life.
When it comes to muscle building for teenagers, you need
to focus on full body workouts. You are too young to be splitting
up your muscle groups into only one body part a day. Doing
so would only cause over training. By concentrating on full
body workouts, you will hit all your major muscle groups 3
times a week, without over training.
If you want to be successful building up your body, then
you need to take this advice to heart and learn the proper
techniques. Muscle building for teens is fine; you just need
to be cautious since your body is still growing, and therefore
instill the good habits that are going to keep you progressing
without injury.
